Needs:
The client needed a partner for developing a
Health Information Exchange (HIE) portal that meets the objective of
“meaningful re-use” of medical record technology.
Solutions:

We worked very closely with the
client to understand software requirements and suggested solutions that were
robust, flexible and scalable
§
We provided dedicated distributed
teams of optimal size and composition on BYT Engagement model with desired
functional and technical competence for developing HIE portal
§
We proposed “Drupal CMS” for building
the CORE of the application. The CORE included homepage, banners, Customized
Personal Health Record user interface for Medical History, Symptoms, Diagnoses,
Hub, Additional Information etc.), User Registration, Payment Subscription,
Customized User Interface for Global Village Network with tier wise display,
Customized User Interface for Global Village Consult, and Configurable Admin
Interface (Medical Providers and Members Permission Management, Subscription
Management etc.).

Development of Global Village Network
module to allow networking of individuals with similar health concerns to form
a global village. “Drupal Forum” and
"CometChat" were integrated to achieve this functionality.
§
Development of Global Village Consult
module for facilitating the telehealth including optional video consults via a
video chat portal (CometChat), with the physician moderator or a participating
provider in the network.
§
The
roles and responsibilities of teams included:

Design, Development and testing of
the highly optimized “Software for Service” solution
•
The application is still in
development stage with initial sprints delivered.
Technology Platform:

Open Source development platform:
LAMP(PHP) with Drupal CMS Platform, CometChat, Drupal Forum, and jQuery
framework.
§
We provided structured project teams
of 4-6 personnel with well-defined functions like scrum master, team members,
GUI designers, that developed web application using agile project management
methodology.
